Local presentation on Collaborative Practice Trusts and Estates slated for September 13, 2013

If you’re interested in learning about Collaborative Practice Trusts & Estates, and happen to be in the San Francisco Bay Area, you are cordially invited to attend an upcoming luncheon panel presentation hosted by the Financial Planning Association of Silicon Valley.  This month’s FPA-SV meeting will include a Collaborative Practice panel presenting essential information about this new practice discipline, and answering audience questions.  The date is September 13, 2013, and the cost for non-FPA-SV members is $45.

The presenting panel consists of trained practitioners representing the three primary disciplines that make up collaborative estate teams:  a financial neutral (financial planner); a communications specialist (marriage and family therapist); and a legal specialist (estate planning attorney).  Here are brief bios of the three speakers:

Peter W. Johnson, Jr., founder and principal of PWJohnson Wealth Management, RIA.  A former President of the FPA Silicon Valley chapter, he is a 23 year veteran of the industry. In addition to PFP credentials, Peter has completed educational requirements for Collaborative Practice.

Nancy J. Ross, LCSW, BCD is a co-founder of Collaborative Divorce and principal of Bauer, Shepherd & Ross & Associates (BSR), a psychotherapy practice in Cupertino, CA. As a clinician for over twenty-five years, Nancy has specialized in couples’ and family therapy. Currently, over 85% of the practice is dedicated to collaborative work. She is also a mediator for both custody and post-divorce issues. Nancy is is a co-author of Divorce: A Problem to be Solved, Not a Battle to be Fought as well as numerous articles on Collaborative Divorce.

Gadi Zohar, Esq. is a Palo Alto estate planning lawyer who combines his exclusive focus on trusts and estates law with his background as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.
